NEW NORTH END OF YEAR VIDEO

Go to watch

Note from Pastor Rob

What. A. Year.

I’m writing this note from the comfort of our newly remodeled auditorium that still has a new car smell. Continuously improving our SF Campus and making room for new people has been a high priority this year. Thank you for making it happen!

A church is much more than a building though, it’s about people. And as I look back on this year, I’m tremendously thankful for all the work God has done in the lives of our people. I think about a young couple who recently renewed their relationship with Jesus at New North. She was baptized and they both dove right in and were eager to serve. After meeting with several of our pastors and building a relationship with us, they decided to honor God and took an amazing step of obedience and got married! It’s been such a joy watching their faith grow and mature this year. And that’s just one story of dozens more.

I’m also incredibly blessed by how many people have been baptized this year. By God’s grace, we’ve baptized more people this year, than any other year in the history of our church! God is at work and moving in the lives of people both young and old.

Lastly, I’m grateful for the sense of Spirit-led momentum and the “wind at our back” I see and feel in our church. It’s been a long time since we’ve experienced growth, life change, impact, and a spiritual deepening across our church. Something we can all thank God for!

If you call New North your home church, attend regularly, give sacrificially, and serve selflessly, thank you. You are making a huge difference in the lives of hurting, broken, lonely, and lost. You might not get to see it, but it’s happening because of your partnership with us. Let’s keep moving forward with Jesus, our Shepherd!

Grace and Peace,

Rob Hall

The New North Year-End Offering is your opportunity to participate in our vision.

Bryant Lui

I decided to get baptized to mark a new chapter and commitment in my life and to celebrate that Jesus is my Lord, Savior, and healer with everyone who has walked with me. From my coworker who first welcomed me back to the kind New North community, the inspiring sunday worship, and Young Adults ministry.

I’ve felt the Lord’s love and faithfulness at work. Thank you!

BEACH BAPTISMS 🤍 Along with 13 other churches in the Bay Area, we celebrated Pentecost Sunday with over 40+ baptisms at San Francisco’s Crissy Fields! God is moving and what an honor it is to partner alongside His kingdom! We love these churches sharing the Gospel and making disciples across the city!

Scott Dyer

As Connections Pastor I get the pleasure of chatting with countless new people and leading our Next Steps course. I don’t go a week without a new person telling me how impressed they’ve been by the welcome that they’ve recieved at New North! I am continually humbled by the people on our welcome teams that continue to help people experience the love of Jesus from day one!

Thanks for making an impact!

JESUS TRANSFORMS US

When followers of Jesus gather together and encounter his presence in worship, we are deeply changed and renewed.

586 people on average, attended our in-person Sunday Services. That’s a 15% increase in attendance from the last fiscal year.

50 more seats! With our new sanctuary updates, we have more space for worship and prayer.

211 people on average, attended our Church Online Services.

Tim Drisdelle

Worship & Creative Pastor

In 2024, the Lord has continued to build His church and we’ve seen steady increase around our Sunday worship services for a third year in a row. We’ve made some responsible baseline improvements at our current location that have been needed for some time. In this, we are able to tangibly see more people come through our doors and find a welcoming place to engage God’s presence as we gather for worship. This has also allowed us to subsequently host a growth pattern throughout the week, in addition to Sundays, as we see our facilities in action all week long. My goal has always been to set a table where all can come and experience God together. Our value of transformation is a work of the Spirit, and yet we also see how the supernatural partners with the natural when we take care of the facilities and tools at hand that allow these things to happen. From our ministry space, to our technology and processes, we desire to be good stewards and set our direction and decisions to accommodate the goals of our values, and then to see them come to pass.

Middle School + High School Camps

Camps are a powerful way to deeply connect with our Students. We have walked with them as they wrestle with their faith, while helping them navigate through these teenage years.

Kevin Centinaje

Pastoral Resident - Student Ministry

This year has been overflowing with God moments—through events, camps, and, most notably, the incredible number of students who were baptized and publicly proclaimed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. As I approach the end of my residency with our Student Ministry, I’m profoundly grateful for the opportunity to lead, partner with, and disciple both students and leaders. Witnessing relationships grow and deepen with God and with one another has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve learned so much from our students and discovered new things about myself in the process. Student Ministry is one of the most vital aspects of our church, and every church. Students face unique challenges that can be difficult to navigate, and as the church, it’s our responsibility to walk alongside them, helping to strengthen their faith and keep them grounded in Christ. God is moving powerfully in the lives of our students—let’s continue to pray for them!

Cheska Francisco

HSM Leader

God is a gracious God. Despite all my antics, He still pursued me! He called me to be a counselor at Hume Lake for the first time a few weeks ago where I felt very unqualified to lead high school students in their faith. But in 2 Corinthians 12:9 God says “My power is made perfect in weakness” And that’s exactly what He did. All week, He gave me the courage and words to pray out loud, the wisdom to lead cabin discussions with my girls, and the best was getting to witness them accept Jesus that week. I am so blessed to be getting baptized with some of them. Through obedience to Gods call, I was quickly rewarded with the best experience of God’s power. It is truly in Christ alone that my hope is found and I am coming to Him again for real today 16 years later at my home church to profess that He is my redeemer, Lord and Savior!

Lilianna Ledesma

Camp was awesome because it was great living in the glory of our Creator’s creation. It was so fun knowing I was resting in the palm of his hand, knowing he would protect me as we hiked and went white water rafting.

Ruth Hanson

I really enjoyed camp. White water rafting was my favorite. There was this place where you could jump off a high cliff. I was a little nervous jumping at first but God helped me through and I had a blast. I jumped off four times. I’m grateful I got to go to this camp.

We spent this year exploring our Core Values (Heart and Soul), wrestling with questions of faith (Explore God), considering Christmas from Isaiah’s perspective (Down to Earth), studying how faith is a faith that works (James), navigating cultural issues with grace (Waypoints) and immersing ourselves in the epic story of God’s people (Exodus). Our goal in preaching is not just transmitting information, but working with the Spirit of God towards transformation. And by God’s power and grace He moved in our hearts and minds.

JESUS IS AT THE CENTER OF OUR DAY

Our Community Life Ministries are opportunities to help each of us develop the kinds of relationships that lead to life change and deeper faith in Jesus. We desperately need each other to remain focused on the One in whom we’ve put our trust. There’s no shortcut for community, and we’ve seen tremendous fruit in all of our midweek ministries because of the consistency and faithfulness of our leaders and those who have attended.

Men’s Ministry

Men’s Fraternity hosted their annual Men’s Retreat in Pacifica with 50 men coming together to worship, play sports, bond and create new friendships of all ages.

All-Church Picnics

In a desire to provide spaces to connect and encourage community, we hosted 3 summer picnics with over 60 attendees at each event.

Young Adults

Our Young Adults Ministry has become a space for young professionals in the Bay Area to grow alongside other christians in their life stage through monthly hangouts, pastor-led discussions and a camping retreat.

Leadership Initiative

Our Community Life Team has led Leader Initiative Gatherings that have spanned leaders from every ministry in our church. This has been a time of encouragement, teaching and mainly discussion. The beauty of these times is all of our leaders are reminded that they are not leading alone - there are dozens of other men and women in the trenches with them, serving and pointing people toward Jesus.

LEARN HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Jane and Rudy Sastra

God has been growing each family in their faith and we have seen how each one is stepping up to serve the church in different ways. We’ve also learned how to pray and to persevere during trials this past year. We encourage others to join a community group to build community and fellowship with other believers

From a young age, we want to make and mature more followers of Christ. Our Family Ministries partner with our parents to help build real and lasting faith into all our generations.

Sam Cerdena

Kids Director

Looking back at the past year brings about the acknowledgement and overwhelming sense of how BIG our God is. We once again experienced tremendous growth, both numerically and in the quality of who we are and what we do. The Kids team not only gained a new staff member to join me, but with that we were able to better seek our vision in loving and serving Jesus in our relational and sometimes silly way. This past year has definitely set us up for continued growth, specifically in how we mentor and relate to families, both kids and their grown ups.

HSM Life Groups + MSM Hangouts New North Middle Schoolers started monthly Friday Hangouts and High School Students Students continue to meet every Wednesday for Life Groups.

11 Families dedicated their babies.

379 people participated In our 2023 Trunk or Treat (Thank you to our 70+ volunteers who helped make this happen!)

75 kids and students on average joined us every Sunday for New North Kids

This year’s VBS was an incredible encouragement. It really did feel like a party, and I was in awe of how this year’s VBS painted an incredible picture of how kids aren’t the “church of the future”, but are a current and active part of what it is made of right now. Campers were given opportunities to share and serve, and they did so amazingly. Whether it was packing Convoy of Hope kits, backpacks, or working and worshiping alongside our adult and student volunteer team, I’m thankful to know that I was a part of an experience where God was clearly moving.

WE WANT OTHERS TO KNOW JESUS

We are committed to sharing the Gospel and serving our neighbors both near and far, so they can find and follow Jesus.

Global/Local Outreach (GLO)

All year we heard from 12 partners in person and were encouraged by their stories of God’s faithfulness around the world. We surrounded them with prayer and continue to do so!

Mobilize Love After School Outreach

We hosted an after-school program available to all families of Belle Air Elementary where kids heard the gospel, families received dinner and kids earned prizes from the Stories Truck as their literacy improved.

Belle Air Fall Festival

We partnered with Mobilize Love to  host a Fall 2023 Festeival where families had lunch, decorated pumpkins, enjoyed new clothes, haircuts and groceries.

Mobilize Love - Love the city

We partnered with other churches around the city to host a resource fair for San Francisco Families at Oracle Stadium. We had over 20 volunteers bless families with prayer and crafts!

RV Ministry

This bi-weekly initiative sought to create relationships with RV residents around Lake Merced. We shared coffee, toiletries, snacks and prayed over residents.

Thanks for making a difference!

This was my first dental missions trip and I fell in love with Christ all over again. The way HE showed up before, during and after our trip. God is bigger and mightier than I could imagine. I am so grateful, thankful, and blessed for the time ministering to the people of Honduras. Witnessing the confidence and joy that a transformed smile brings to someone’s face is truly uplifting. This trip was humbling and encouraging; challenging and uplifting; powerful and simple. I saw God work through our team member in the powerful presentation of the gospel, kindness to strangers, patience to others, the way our team united and got all things done in the name of Jesus and all the glory to God. I look forward to next year and going back.

God is raising a generation of people who are faithful and full of zeal for the Kingdom of God, and God seems to be using their faith to uplift and inspire Christian communities from other parts of the world. I was deeply encouraged by some of the youth leaders and campers I met in Armenia, and I am now inspired to serve the children and youth in my own communities with the same joy in the Lord.

God is so good and His global church is amazing and in Catania I got to experience His presence in a deeper way and was reminded of His deep love for the whole world. One of my favorite moments was going on a prayer walk with Vince and his team, we prayed in front of 5 of the mosques near the town square. The thing that made the deepest impression on me was witnessing the deep, personal friendships that they have established with the muslim leaders and the refugee population in Catania. They clearly see the value in building bridges based on mutual respect and friendship first and it was a great reminder for me to continue to engage lovingly and respectfully with those who might have different beliefs than I do.
