Guide: How to Pray the Lord's Prayer
Use the Lord’s Prayer as a framework to guide your own conversation with God:
“Our Father in heaven”
☐ Reflect on God’s nearness and kindness.
☐ Remember you are deeply loved.
“Hallowed be Your name”
☐ Praise God for who He is.
☐ Use names of God (Healer, Provider, Shepherd, etc.).
“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”
☐ Pray for God's priorities in your life, your relationships, your church, and the world.“Give us this day our daily bread”
☐ Ask for what you need today—spiritually, emotionally, practically.
☐ Pray for the needs of others too.
“Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us”
☐ Confess your sins.
☐ Let go of bitterness and choose forgiveness.
“Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”
☐ Ask for protection, wisdom, and strength to resist temptation.
☐ Pray against spiritual and practical harm.
(Optional Doxology) “For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.”
☐ End with worship and surrender.
