• Describe a time when you’ve missed seeing something obvious going on around you that other people could see?

Reflect on the Message

• What stood out to you from Sunday’s message about prayer and why?
• Lee shared that “time in erodes awareness of”, where have you seen this principle be true? Are there things that have become so familiar that you’ve become desensitized to?

Scripture Engagement- Read Mark 6:37-52

• In this passage, the disciples witness Jesus feed the 5,000, yet shortly after they are terrified when they see Him walking on the water. Why do you think it was so easy for them to forget the miracle they had just experienced? Where do you see that same pattern in your own life?
• Mark says the disciples’ hearts were “hardened” because they did not understand about the loaves (v.52). What kinds of fear, exhaustion, or pressure make it hard for you to recognize Jesus at work even when you’ve seen Him provide before?

Read Jeremiah 17:5-8

• Where do you get nourishment from?

Read Zechariah 4:6

• Do you tend to be more likely to try to be a “rower” and try to make things happen by your own might or “raise the sails” and trust Spirit?
