Bold Faith

Bold Faith

Series

Acts 3-4 | October 11, 2026

Speaker

Zohary Ross

On Sunday, Pastor Zohary continued our series through Acts 3-4, where we saw Peter go from denying Jesus to boldly proclaiming His name. What changed? Peter was an ordinary man who was transformed by being with Jesus and experiencing His grace.

CG Sermon Discussion Questions:

Warm up:

  • Pastor Zohary shared a story about a friend believing in you during a hard season, encouraging you in a time of doubt, or sticking by your side when things got tough. Have you ever experienced something similar to this?

Reflect on the Message (choose 1)

  • Pastor Zohary shared that bold faith means acting on what we believe about God before we know the outcome. She shared, “I may not be in control of the outcome, but I can have bold faith because I know the One who does.” Is there any area of your life right now where you can choose to trust God despite not knowing the outcome in the midst of the circumstance?
  • Pastor Zohary shared the fear equation where fear emerges when we experience uncertainty and loss of control at the same time. Are there any areas of your life right now where you see fear emerging?

Scripture Engagement- Read Acts 4:7-13

  • How does it make you feel to hear that Peter and John were “unschooled, ordinary” men but that their boldness and courage had come because they had “been with Jesus.” How does “being with Jesus” produce stronger faith over simply knowing or studying “about” Jesus.

Personal Connection

  • Peter and John replied “As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Are there any praise testimonies in your life from this last week that you’d like to share with the group?
  • In that same light, are there any areas that cause you to fear sharing your faith? This week’s sermon reminded us that “bold faith chooses obedience over the approval of people.” How can you go about that in your personal spheres of influence this week.

Practical Application

  • Where is the fear of what other people might think keeping you from obedience to God  or acting boldly in faith?
  • How might making God bigger in your life help cause your anxiety, fear, etc. to decrease?

Group Prayer Time

  • Read Acts 4:29-31 and pray through it as a group. Focus your prayers of bold faith on asking God for more courage, not comfort.
